Our volunteers are a vital element of the daily operations at Bayley Place. The competent, caring manner of our volunteers shine on every aspect of the Bayley Place Community!

Whether delivering mail, driving the bus, running the gift shop, playing the organ at Mass, providing clerical assistance or assisting residents to activities, our volunteers’ smiling faces and sunny dispositions make our days brighter and our work load lighter.

As members of our Bayley Place community, volunteers are encouraged to take advantage of the many services that Bayley Place provides: educational and entertainment programs, picnics, parties, daily mass, even free flu shots and Tuberculosis testing! When on duty, volunteers are also welcome to join in the staff camaraderie while enjoying a free lunch in the dining room.

Varied Opportunities at Bayley Place

Friendly Visitor - visit and chat with residents on a regularly scheduled basis. Talk, play cards, visit outdoors, share experiences!
Mail Delivery - Deliver mail to residents. Pass facility announcements to residents.
Gift Shop Assistant - Operate the Gift Shop during scheduled hours.
Eucharistic Minister - Deliver Holy Communion to residents. Assist residents to and from spiritual services. Act as lector and help distribute Holy Communion during Mass.
Appointment Escort - Accompany residents to and from appointments when a companion is needed. The Bayley Bus will provide transportation.
Library Aide - Assist with the daily operation of library, straighten and organize shelves, track Public Library books delivered each month.
Clerical Assistance - Folding, stuffing, labeling, filing, copying, shredding, typing; you name it and we do it!
Activities Assistance - A variety of activities, interact with residents or help with art projects.
Special Talent or the Annual Holiday Bazarre - Do you have a special talent or an idea for service you would like to share? Let us know how we can assist.
