Founded in 1852 by Mother Margaret George, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati have had an enormous impact on our community for more than 150 years. For the Sisters, the needs of the community have always been top priority. Devoted to the education of youth, the care of the sick and orphaned, and elderly, the positive impact of their work will be seen for generations to come.
A number of local organizations have been founded by the Sisters and their work has touched millions including, the College of Mount St. Joseph; Seton High School; St. Joseph’s Home; Seton Family Center; Good Samaritan Hospital and Bayley Place. We are extremely blessed to have been formed by the Sisters of Charity nearly two decades ago; we are honored by the lives we have been able to touch in their name and with their support. In an effort to share our immense pride and gratitude, Bayley Place is proud to present the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati with the prestigious Diamond Tribute Award.
“The Diamond Tribute Award is bestowed upon organizations or individuals who have shown exceptional investment, compassion and engagement in our community. We believe that the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati encompass these qualities and many more,” noted Bayley Place President & CEO, Adrienne Walsh. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to publically acknowledge their service and our gratitude.”
The Sisters will be joining a dedicated and compassionate list of awardees including 2004 - Patricia and Norman Murdock; 2005 - Helen and Bill Williams; 2006 - Genny and Tom Sedler; 2007 - Claire Phillips and 2008 - Betty and George A.
